What is SF

Race format

SF’s race format incorporates a Saturday qualification and two Sunday races – the main focal points in a packed programme.

For each round, the clubs battle for a weekend purse of more than 1 million euros in prize money, and points are awarded (and prize money allocated) on a scale from first to last (1-20).

Each race team / football club accumulates points, and the Superleague Formula Champions will be the Team with most points at the end of the season.

How does it work?

One car representing each football club – all cars & engine identical and based on latest technology.

Format 45 minutes race: 44 minutes plus 1 lap ( when 44 minutes have elapsed then the next moment that the leader passes the start finish line he has one more lap to go. This is meant to bring it as close to a 45 minute half time football match equivalent.)
Saturday Free testing and qualifying
Sunday Two races (one with reverse grids)
Regulations Simple and practical in place to enhance the contest
Prize One million € prize per race weekend

SF Championship points

Points for the Superleague Formula championship are scored in both races each Sunday. There are points available for every position in the field with 50 up for grabs for a race win. Points are scored equally in both races. A driver managing to win both races on Sunday would collect 100 points. If a driver fails to finish a race, he still scores points. For example, in a field a 17 cars, the first car that fails to finish will earn six points. If a driver fails to start an event, they do not score any points.
