Seville and Bourdais net opening Monza race
Sebastien Bourdais picked up from where he had left off in Estoril by winning the first Superleague Formula by Sonangol race at Monza today after a commanding performance for Spanish side Seville.

Olympique Lyonnais announces its driver Nelson Panciatici
Olympique Lyonnais is ready to lead France into Superleague Formula. The French Ligue 1 giant is one of three new football clubs contesting the 2009 race series, kicking off at Magny-Cours on 27/28 June. It’s not only the first time that a French club has competed in the burgeoning Superleague Formula championship that features a grid full of identical V12-powered 750bhp racers representing many of the world’s premier football clubs, but Magny-Cours also celebrates the thrilling series’ debut on French soil.

Sebastien Bourdais might not have been in Superleague Formula for long but the multiple Champ Car champion has certainly made his mark after just two rounds and heads into his Sevilla squad’s home race at Jarama as one of the favourites this weekend.

French ace lines up for Portuguese champions as FC Porto sticks to a winning team
Portuguese champions FC Porto are sticking to a winning team for this year’s fast approaching Superleague Formula series, which kicks off in France on 28 June. French ace Tristan Gommendy returns to the hot seat of FC Porto’s 750bhp V12 powered single-seater race car. The 30-year-old driver scored FC Porto’s first Superleague Formula victory at Vallelunga, Italy towards the end of 2008’s inaugural season making it one of the teams to beat.

The Liverpool club’s car driven by Adrian Vallés netted the second fastest time in today’s (27 June) Qualifying Final against the SC Corinthian machine of Antônio Pizzonia (BRA) who grabbed pole-position.
